Job Description

The U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM) Armaments Center (AC) serves as the Army's technology leader for armament systems. DEVCOM AC ensures dominance of Army capabilities by researching, developing, integrating and delivering technology-enabled armament solutions to our Warfighters. Armaments Center has a long tradition as the primary research and development center for new and existing armament systems which are in use by U.S. service members around the world.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Direct all acquisition activities for a program.
• Utilize contracting and procurement knowledge to meet mission needs.
• Develop solutions to broad management/ business problems in which previously established techniques are inadequate.
• Make recommendations concerning procurement in accordance with organizational goals.
• Communicate (written and oral) with entities, such as representatives of other functional areas, managers, and representatives of other/higher command, industry and academia concerning acquisition management.
