About the Position: This position is with The Chemical Biological Center (CBC).The Chemical Biological Center (CBC) is participating in an alternative personnel system known as the Laboratory Personnel Demonstration Project (DEMO). The pay band DB-04 is equal to the former GS-14 step 01 through GS-15 step 10. THIS IS AN INTERDISCIPLINARY POSITION AND MAY BE FILLED WITH ANY OF THE LISTED OCCUPATIONS

Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Serve as Branch Chief and technical authority/consultant responsible for planning, directing and coordinating the work of technical personnel engaged in conducting research investigations/studies in support of the Molecular Toxicology Program.
• Develop innovative scientific methodologies to identify and explore promising areas of research in molecular toxicology.
• Manage and support highly complex, state of the art projects that are critical to key Army research and development programs.
• Establish priorities, objectives and advise on technical and administrative matters.
• Supervise a group of professional technical personnel and is responsible for overall planning, administration, and direction of personnel.
