Job Description

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: US Army Aeromedical Research Laboratory (USAARL)'s commitment to the aviator, the airborne Soldier, and the ground Warrior, is to find medical solutions that reduce health hazards, prevent and mitigate injury, enhance performance, and save lives.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

• The General Engineer will conduct test and evaluation of medical items for the Army and other DOD entities per the Joint Enroute Care Test Standard (JECETS) and other applicable military standards.
• Requires in-depth knowledge and experience operating state-of-the-art electromagnetic interference/compatibility (EMI/EMC) test instrumentation.
• Utilize experience testing medical devices for EMI in the laboratory and aboard U.S. Army MEDEVAC aircraft in accordance with MIL-STD.
• Working knowledge in system safety engineering, human factors engineering, and extensive experience in military rotary-wing operations to accomplish evaluation and research.
