Job Description

The U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM) Armaments Center (AC) serves as the Army's technology leader for armament systems. DEVCOM AC ensures dominance of Army capabilities by researching, developing, integrating and delivering technology-enabled armament solutions to our Warfighters. Armaments Center has a long tradition as the primary research and development center for new and existing armament systems which are in use by U.S. service members around the world.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Direct the technical phases of broad program/project assignments related to armament life-cycle engineering and related technologies.
• Plan the activities of technical personnel engaged in related engineering/scientific activities.
• Coordinate projects and phases of projects to ensure the efficient integration of all activities.
• Lead complex assignments and preparation of technical and business plans.
• Recommend solutions for difficult problems, redirecting approaches and work based on results of tests, feasibility studies, etc.
• Represent the organization at conferences and meetings with officials, representatives of other government agencies, and contractors.
