The U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM) Armaments Center (AC) serves as the Army's technology leader for armament systems. DEVCOM AC ensures dominance of Army capabilities by researching, developing, integrating and delivering technology-enabled armament solutions to our Warfighters. Armaments Center has a long tradition as the primary research and development center for new and existing armament systems which are in use by U.S. service members around the world.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Direct accomplishment of highly complex mission-critical armament programs with significant impact on national defense capability to further organizational mission.
  • Makes well-informed decisions that can perceive the impact and implications even in uncertain situations, to accomplish organizational goals.
  • Organizes work and determines resource requirements to meet short- or long-term goals.
  • Supervise a group of well-trained technical staff at various stages of their careers.
  • Align senior subject matter expert mentors with early- and midcareer analysts to maintain competencies required for the directorate to meet its mission.
  • Plans, distributes, coordinates, and monitors work assignments of others.
  • Evaluates work performance and provides feedback to others valuable on their performance.
  • Ensures that staff are appropriately selected, utilized, and developed, and that they are treated in a fair and equitable manner.
