IT SPECIALIST (SYSANALYSIS/NETWORK/SYSADMIN)

Job Description

About the Position: This position will serve as an IT Specialist with the Fires Capabilities Development Integration Directorate (CDID), US Army Futures Command located at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. This position is covered by a Laboratory Personnel Demonstration Project. This position covered by this vacancy announcement is a part of STRL Demo Pay Band III Category 1 GS 12 - GS 13 equivalent.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Builds and maintains input databases and scenarios for simulations and simulators.
• Operates a variety of simulation workstations including tactical systems used and collates data obtained from Battle Lab experiments and replays for use in after action reviews (AARs).
• Determines instrumentation requirements and installs digital and/or audio recording devices to record pertinent testing activities for use in data analysis.
• Employee also manages a network of office automation hardware and software.
• Installs and tests system software and hardware.
• Diagnoses system failures to isolate the source of problems between equipment, system software, and application programs.
• Designs, establishes, maintains and modifies wide area communications networks to provide required connectivity between simulations, simulators, and tactical devices.
