About the Position: This position is located in the Development Command Analysis Center. The DEVCOM Analysis Center is one of eight science and technology domains within the command, and has the mission to deliver objective analysis, experimentation and data across the entire life cycle to ensure readiness today and a more lethal future force tomorrow.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Serves as a scientist or engineer responsible for carrying out advanced research and development activities involving complex equipment, emerging technologies or scientific phenomena.
• Attends and presents papers at conferences or professional society meetings, serves on technical committees within the agency, and coordinates with other professionals when working on collaborative efforts.
• Conceives and formulates ideas or produces work of such originality, soundness and value as to have marked the incumbent as a significant contributor to the field.
• Serves as a team leader responsible for assigning work to employees assigned to the team based on priorities jointly established by the incumbent and the supervisor.
• Provides advice, counsel and instructions to team members on technical work matters, provides on-the-job training and recommends training courses and other development opportunities to meet employee and unit needs.
