About the Position: As the Army's primary integrator of C5ISR technologies and systems, the U.S. Army Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) Center conducts Research and Development, or R&D, across a wide variety of capability areas that support all of the Army's Modernization priorities. This is an Interdisciplinary position and may be filled with any of the listed occupations.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Work is performed in the Production/Manufacturing/Integration/Quality/Test/Experimentation domain.
- Execute the systems technical and acquisition sustainment supportability product lifecycle activities in the Production, Manufacturing, Integration, Quality, Test, and Experimentation-related mission areas.
- Carries out advanced applied research and development activities involving pioneering work of outstanding scope, difficulty, and complexity .
- Formulates plans and hypotheses and carries them through to completion.
- Applies a very high degree of imagination and creativity in the solution of problems of marked importance for which there is almost a complete absence of applicable guidelines, pertinent literature and methodology.
- Develops interpretations and procedures that extend or supplant existing knowledge/methodology due to nonexistent or controversial experimental data available.
- Serves as a spokesperson and/or principal investigator for the organization in the specialty field.
