Job Description

The U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM) Armaments Center (AC) serves as the Army's technology leader for armament systems. DEVCOM AC ensures dominance of Army capabilities by researching, developing, integrating and delivering technology-enabled armament solutions to our Warfighters. Armaments Center has a long tradition as the primary research and development center for new and existing armament systems which are in use by U.S. service members around the world.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Serves as a Senior Scientific Technical Manager (SSTM) providing advanced and/ or unprecedent scientific and technical guidance and recommendations to top-level management officials.
• Develops and overseas technology roadmaps and strategic plans that integrate facility, personnel, and technical skill resources for preservation of in-house armaments expertise.
• Coordinates preparation of program documentation including plans, schedules, budgets, forecasts, and technical reports to persuade or defend complex positions to DoD/DA management, Congressional committees, and industrial and academia officials.
• Carries out supervisory responsibilities involving technical planning and oversight of work accomplished through Federal civil service employees, assigned military members, and non-Federal works.
