APPOINTMENT TYPE: This is a 1-year Modified Term appointment. This appointment may be extended to 6 years. 

Job Duties/Responsibilities

Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
 
Serve as a Program Specialist for the Human Resources Team within the DCoS-G-1. Responsibilities include supporting various areas of the human resource team mission including employee engagement, incentive awards, and training and development. Incumbent will have a key role in on-boarding new employees to the Center, scheduling and participating in New Employee training and other on-boarding activities, providing career program training and development support to the workforce, and administering and reporting on the Health and Fitness, Telework, and Remote Work Programs.
 
Additionally, you will collaborate with Center leadership as an action officer providing workforce data, recommending training opportunities, and working with leadership in requesting funds to meet training needs. You will also be responsible for leading and advising on incentive awards programs including the Employee of the Month Program, the Annual Awards Programs, and other Center-wide employee engagement programs, including the Soldier Center Fitness and Health Program Manager, the Telework Program, and the Remote Work Program.
