The U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM) Soldier Center (SC) has an immediate opening for a Program Analyst to join our team in Natick, MA. The position is a full-time Term appointment not to exceed 2 years and may be renewed up to six years. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing DHA for STRL Mission Support to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

The Program Analyst position supports the Protection Systems Division in Soldier Protection Directorate at the DEVCOM Soldier Center.  The ideal candidate should have at least one year of experience performing business, finance, and administrative duties, as well as logistics and planning; experience applying basic budgetary and financial management principles and techniques for long range planning of programs and objectives; and ability to present findings verbally or in writing for higher-level review or publication.  Candidate must be thoroughly proficient with MS Suite (i.e., PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Adobe, etc.).

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Serves as analyst and advisor to management on the evaluation of the effectiveness of government programs and operations
  • Provides operational services to leaders
  • Performs journey level functions in the business or administrative fields (e.g., task coordination, tasker management, acquisition management, operational procedures, marketing, finance, resource management, logistics, or planning)
  • Applies basic budgetary and financial management principles and techniques as they relate to long range planning of programs and objectives
  • Applies evaluative methods to assess programs development or execution to improve organizational effectiveness and efficiency
  • Supports Protection Division Chief, three Branch Chiefs, and Division Staff with day-to-day operations of the Division
