The AFC HQ Directorate of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion is seeking an Acting Equal Employment Opportunity Program Manager to serve in a detail position not-to-exceed (NTE) 120 days. The application deadline is COB Friday, 11 March 2022.

- Location: Austin TX, or Remote/Virtual
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week; compressed schedule available
- Detail assignment will begin o/a Monday, 28 March 2022, NTE 120 days. (The time frame for this position is flexible and must be supported by your supervisor.
- Serves as EEO Complaints and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Program Manager for the Directorate of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI), Army Futures Command, Headquarters (AFC) and directly supports the DEI Director
- Manages command efforts to implement the Model EEO Program as defined by federal laws, regulations and guidelines, with specific focus on the oversight and operational requirements of 29 CFR 1614 and EEOC Management Directive 110, as supported by AR 690-600 and AR 690-12. Monitors progress in achieving program goals related to the EEOC MD 715 essential elements of a Model EEO Program.
- Develops implementing instructions and policies; monitors all aspects of command EEO efforts; manages the command EEO complaint process; conducts inquiries based on allegations of discrimination and interacts with other command points of contact; advocates and arranges for the use of ADR techniques to resolve EEO and non-EEO workplace conflicts
- Advises the DEI Director, staff principals, management at all levels, and key stakeholders and officials regarding employment policies and practices that effect equal employment opportunity, such as recruitment, development, merit promotion, supervisory practices, pay and classification, and other personnel-related matters.
- Analyzes the workforce to identify inclusion rates of the organization’s occupations, organizations, and lines of progression (career ladders). Conducts comprehensive studies and surveys, or develops questionnaires as needed to identify systemic problems or barriers to equal opportunity, and create solutions to overcome them. Advises managers on development of action plans, makes recommendations for changes in command policies practices and procedures affecting EEO groups.
- Serves as Acting DEI Director in the absence of the Director, as required
- Conducts evaluations of the command EEO program, based on EEOC MD-715, EEO-MD-110, OPM regulations, and other applicable federal guidelines
