Job Description

This position is being filled utilizing the Direct Hire Authority which can appoint qualified candidates possessing a bachelor or an advanced degree in professional scientific and engineering positions within the US Army Combat Capability Development (DEVCOM) Aviation and Missile Center (AvMC).

The US Army DEVCOM AvMC is looking for an Engineer to support our customers at various program/project offices across Redstone Arsenal.  The primary purpose of this position is to provide electronic parts, materials, and processes engineering support.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

Serves as electronic parts, materials, and processes engineer with responsibility for research, development, test and evaluation, and procurement and production in support of Army aviation and missile programs. Work involves the conduct of reliability-oriented application studies, circuit tolerance analysis, electrical and material stress analysis, reliability testing and analysis, failure analysis studies and corrective action development, development of test and inspection requirements, assessments of assembly methods and procedures for a broad spectrum of part, material, and component categories. Work requires a professional background in electrical, electronic, mechanical, materials, and/or industrial engineering. Prepares technical reports on results and conclusions of efforts.
