SUPERVISORY OPERATIONS RESEARCH ANALYST

Job Description

About the Position: Serves as a senior operations research analyst and Division Chief, supervising a professional staff of military and civilian operations research analysts and other technical and support personnel. DB-04 pay band includes GS-14 Step 1 to GS-15 Step 10.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Performs the daily supervision of division personnel, to include assignment of work, reviewing and accepting their products, identifying training requirements, establishing performance objectives and performing evaluations.
• Applies professional knowledge and broad experience in operations research and systems analysis (ORSA) to the study and analysis of force structure, doctrine, materiel, and training or to the development of methodologies, models and analytic tools.
• Participates in and oversees the preparation of the final study/project report and assures that any analysis or methodology appendices prepared elsewhere are integrated into that document.
• Reviews studies/projects for analytical soundness and consistency and prepares comments and recommendations in accordance with TRAC guidance and policy for production and quality oversight.
