APPOINTMENT TYPE: This is a 1-year Modified Term appointment. This appointment has the ability to be extended to 6 years. 

Job Duties/Responsibilities

DUTIES:   Serve as a Program Specialist for the Human Resources Team within the DCoS G-1.   Responsibilities include serving as the Soldier Center Organization Acquisition Point of Contact (OAP).  As the Center’s OAP, you will have an in-depth knowledge of acquisition matters to assist senior leaders in managing the Soldier Center Army Acquisition Workforce (AAW).  This requires managing complex and Center-wide organizational programs.  You will advise and provide recommendations to support compliance with Army Acquisition standards, objectives, and goals; coach and train supervisors and employees on broad policy matters; provide analytical support necessary to monitor and report AAW metrics; and foster teamwork essential to obtaining and maintaining the requisite support.  You will collaborate with Center leadership as an action officer and staff advisor providing acquisition workforce data, participate in and support Army DACM training events/opportunities; recommend acquisition training to the AAW; work with leadership in requesting annual Defense Acquisition Workforce Development Account (DAWDA) funds to meet training needs; attend Army DACM Office training sessions to gain and maintain knowledge on CAPPMIS enhancements and new/updated acquisition information impacting the AAW;  use CAPPMIS to provide acquisition leadership relevant information to manage the organization’s AAW over time and ensure compliance with Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act standards and Army DACM acquisition-related goals and policies. You will also be responsible for leading and advising on other training and developmental programs including the Civilian Education System (CES), Army Career Program/Career Field Support training, Senior Enterprise Talent Management (SETM) and Enterprise Talent Management (ETM) Programs, the ACCMA Supervisor Certification Program, and serve as a credit card holder for Center-wide Training programs.   You will also serve as the Soldier Center Fitness and Health Program Manager
