The individual will serve as the Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR) provides guidance, direction and coaching in partnership with venture capitalist, incubators, small businesses, prime contractors, and nonprofit organizations. The position is within the Headquarters, Army Futures Command (AFC) and Army Applications Lab (AAL). The incumbent advises the Director of AAL on all strategic and technical issues concern the implementation of Entrepreneur in Residence Program.

      The incumbent will work under the general direction of the AAL Director and Commercial Outreach Director on a broad nature covering entrepreneur in- residence long range objectives.  This position is responsible for the mastery of advanced knowledge in the areas of business development with special emphasis on startup concepts and venture capital. Applies this knowledge to develop innovative and creative solutions to create initiatives affecting the warfighters, program effectiveness and/or the improvement of AAL strategic plan. Build complex interrelationships to advance the interest of AFC and AAL. Mastery of knowledge in analytical and evaluation methods to adapt appropriate methods to forge new partnership or approaches to address unique problems or challenges which may have broad program and/or business operation application.

       

  • Job Duties/Responsibilities:
    • Duties & Responsibilities:  

      • Responsible for overall coordination and development of the Army Applications Lab (AAL)entrepreneur development program. Work involves all aspects of strategic planning, entrepreneur outreach, program development and implementation.
      • Customer Outreach and Marketing. Assembles cross-functional/matrix structure teams, working with Project Managers, providing direction, guidance, marketing and sales methods and assistance in proposal development.
      • Provides leadership to Project Managers in establishing the vision and direction of the AAL entrepreneur program. Serves as senior advisor to the AFC and AAL leadership. Develops AAL entrepreneur development goals, objectives, vision, and values and for achieving an effective program.

      To qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below:

      One year of specialized experience, which includes mastery of advanced knowledge in the areas of business development with special emphasis on startup concepts and venture capital.       • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
      • Temporary Duty (TDY)/ Business travel up to 15% of the time
