- We're hiring!The U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command Soldier Center (DEVCOM SC) has immediate openings for Program Analysts to join our team in Natick, MA. These positions are full-time Term appointments not to exceed one (1) year and may be renewed up to six years. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation for Science and Technology Reinvention Laboratory (STRL) Mission Support.
The DEVCOM Soldier Center is a Customer-Driven, Customer-Focused organization, and is internationally known as a preeminent provider of research, development, engineering, and integration services in the areas of soldier and squad protection and systems integration, military rations and field feeding equipment, military parachuting and airdrop systems, and expeditionary basing. Incumbent will be responsible for collecting, reviewing, evaluating, and interpreting data related to division programming and project execution. They will present findings, options, and recommendations, via briefings, staff reports, project papers, etc. They will coordinate with computer programming and systems personnel in the conduct of feasibility studies for the application of data processing techniques to systems and procedures requirements for operating programs. Additionally, the incumbent may participate in reviews of activities being considered for conversion to contract operations. Office admin tasks will be assigned including communications, human resources, property and scheduling, and coordination with directorate level administrative and support staff.
- Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- The ideal candidate should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills; have a thorough knowledge of and experience using basic office software programs (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint); be adept at managing multiple tasks, demonstrate professional customer service skills, and utilize effective organizational skills. Duties include but are not limited to the following:Data processing and information management
- Individually, or in conjunction with other analysts/specialists, directs the conduct of or accomplishes special project studies which may have potential major impact on the production processes/procedures and supports division programmatic procedures.
- Gathers and evaluates information and data about assigned programs.
- Conducting surveys, reviews, projects, or audits. Analyzes and prepares reports for local and higher command management.
- Develops or guides the development of charts, statistical tables, and other graphic aids designed to reflect "before and after" situations.
Communications & Scheduling
- Prepare forms and memos as needed; proofs memos before routing.
- Provides support to team members for travel accommodations via Defense Travel System (DTS)
- Orders, organizes, and restocks supplies, business cards, printing needs.
- Sorts division mail into team mailboxes.
- Responsible for managing the Division Chief’s and Division’s calendar as needed.
- Assists with scheduling Division meetings and booking conference rooms as needed.
Human Resources
- Maintains division email distro lists.
- Manages/updates division emergency contact lists.
- Serves as the official Division timekeeper; assists teams with ATAAPS as needed.
- Completes employee update forms.
- Assists with new employee in-processing (overviews admin processes, POCs, contacts, schedules initial meetings).
Contract / GPC support
- Credit card holder for conference registration for Combat Feeding division members.
- Serves as COR for service contracts supporting division level requirements (e.g. Pilot Plant support).
Visits & visitors
- Assists visitor hosts with clearance paperwork, and tracks progress.
- Greets and screens visitors, answers and screens phone calls.
- Assists with visits (room booking, Warfighter café set up, clean up, assist host).
Although this position does not require a degree, a bachelor's degree or associate's degree in any discipline is preferred.Specialized Experience required:
Adept at using basic office software programs (e.g. word, excel, powerpoint) in order to create, review, and report data contained. Experience with creating presentations in PowerPoint to include tables and graphics is required. Experience using communication programs (e.g., TEAMS) is needed.
