  • Job Description:
    • The US Army Combat Capability Development Command (DEVCOM) Aviation and Missile Center (AvMC), Technical Data Management Division of the Systems Readiness Directorate (SRD) is looking for System Configuration Managers supporting the Program Executive Office (PEO) Intelligence Electronic Warfare & Sensors (IEW&S) Aircraft Survivability Equipment Project Management Office and provide general engineering support establishing and maintaining system configuration across total lifecycle for major defense acquisition programs.

      DEVCOM AvMC as a Science and Technology Reinvention Laboratory (STRL) is utilizing the Direct Hire Authority (DHA) to fill this position(s).

      Job Duties: 

      Serve as an authoritative source for journeyman level knowledge and skills, performing independent activities, initiative innovations and new collaborations and executing complex work assignments, responsible for planning, documenting, implementing, oversight and execution a Configuration Management (CM) Program for the entire acquisition lifecycle for applicable products.   Develop a total lifecycle CM program plan and be responsible for the development and integration of CM requirements into system Acquisition Strategies, Life Cycle Sustainment Plans, System Engineering Plans, and Contract Requirement Packages consistent with current policy and practices.  Lead and execute CM activities to include Management and Planning, Configuration Identification, Configuration Control, Configuration Verification and Auditing, and Configuration Status Accounting for product development.  Develop/support development of individual product Intellectual Property Strategies and ensure that the strategies secure the product data and the Government’s rights in data as well as support the system’s acquisition and sustainment strategies.  Support all milestone reviews and provide technical leadership to Integrated Product Teams, Technical Boards, and Technical Meetings. Provide training and support mentoring of junior personnel.  The position will provide functional support and execute assigned duties with some direct supervision required. 

      Pay Scale & Grade: DB III

      Series: 0801

      Location:  Huntsville, AL

      Salary Range (this includes locality pay adjustments for HSV):$82,266-$127,170

      Incentives: Student Loan Repayment, Advanced Leave Accrual, OR Relocation/Recruitment Incentives, may be offered.
